We are looking for an RN to join the fast-paced Surgical Services Team at Virginia Mason Memorial! More than 1,000 surgical procedures take place each month in the eight surgical suites on our main hospital campus and in the four suites located at our Orthopedic Center of Excellence. We offer in-patient procedures, a post-anesthesia care unit and same-day surgery. From orthopedics to vascular to OB, our surgical staff assist with a wide variety of procedures in a patient-focused setting. Nurses at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. ROLE SUMMARY The RN Circulator manages all the necessary care inside the surgery room, assisting the team in maintaining and creating a comfortable, safe environment for the patient and observing the team from a wide perspective. Manages multiple pieces of surgery equipment. Prepares for surgery cases to start on time and produce excellent turnover times. Circulates all type of surgery cases. Cleans rooms between cases. Sets up patient rooms. Performs sterile technique in all cases. RN Circulator acts as a patient advocate. RN Circulator is expected to work in all areas of Surgical Services. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: Asociate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience : Previous acute care nursing experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates/Registration : Washington State (DOH) Registered Nurse licensure required. American Heart Association BLS required. Additional requirements: Call required with a 20min response time. Bending, crawling, stooping, and running required routinely.
