This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical/surgical patients. This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly. We have a great mentoring/precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.

Qualifications:
- Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.
- Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

About the Team
The campus includes medical, surgical, and critical care beds, along with dedicated women’s and children’s services and a specialized heart institute. In alliance with the Cleveland Clinic Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute, the Parkview Heart Institute serves as the region’s only dedicated heart hospital and a certified comprehensive stroke center. Core services include a 24/7 emergency department, Level II adult and pediatric trauma centers, neonatal intensive care, critical care, comprehensive surgical services, cancer care, heart and vascular services, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and medical transport.
