This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.

This unit primarily focuses on short stay (1-2 days) medical/surgical patients. This unit is a supportive environment for a new nurse to grow their nursing skills by learning to take care of a wide variety of patients, or an experienced nurse who enjoys caring for patients who move through their hospital stay quickly. We have a great mentoring/precepting program, focused on teamwork, positivity, and growth to support you in your nursing goals.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
  • Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR certification.
  • Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.) Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

About the Team

2 North is a 22‑bed medical‑surgical unit caring for a mix of medical and surgical patients, with a primary focus on short‑stay admissions typically lasting one to two days. The unit supports efficient patient flow and timely transitions of care while serving a wide variety of patient needs. Staff work together in a supportive, team‑based environment that emphasizes collaboration, positivity, and growth. With its fast pace and diverse patient population, 2 North is well suited for those who enjoy caring for patients who move quickly through their hospital stay while maintaining a strong focus on high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
