MUSC Health – Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Emergency Medicine team supporting Columbia Medical Center Downtown, Northeast, and Kershaw Medical Center.

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in emergency medicine, critical care, or inpatient medicine and thrive in a dynamic clinical setting.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
Experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or Inpatient Medicine strongly preferred
Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and clinical excellence
Position Highlights:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department setting
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
Perform procedures consistent with APP scope of practice in emergency medicine
Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Participate in the management of patients requiring critical care and inpatient admission
Support efficient patient throughput and high standards of clinical quality
Coverage Model:
Primary coverage will initially be based at Kershaw Medical Center
Providers will also rotate and split shifts across Columbia Medical Center Downtown and Northeast
