Job Description
The Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) practices as a direct patient healthcare provider under the supervision of a physician. They work with patients and their families to coordinate the delivery of care. This includes but is not limited to the assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation of clients throughout the established plan of care. The APP shall obtain health histories and perform physical examinations, order appropriate diagnostic test and treatment regimens, and provide patient, family, and departmental staff education as needed. The APP will practice within the guidelines of the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and perform other duties as assigned.
