Unit Description
Spartanburg Medical Center offers a 35-bed Level 3 NICU. We care for the sickest babies in the community we serve. Our team provides a full range of highly specialized medical services in one place, including newborns who:
We also have a neonatal ground transport team to ensure the sickest babies are in the right place to receive the best care possible. We also have the most advanced neonatal transporter that includes the capability to start head cooling for hypoxic brain injuries in the field, which can reduce long-term damage.
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the R.N. demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the R.N. I and support staff. Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.
