The Stress Lab Nurse provides care for patients undergoing multiple types of stress testing and monitoring. The RN ensures the safety and wellbeing of the patient through a supportive clinical environment with trained healthcare providers and appropriate equipment and monitoring capabilities. The Stress Lab Nurse will triage patients into the appropriate testing category based upon the physician’s orders and patient’s clinical history. The incumbent will initiate the correct stress test protocol and monitor the condition of the patient before, during, and after the test. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring vital signs, obtaining and interpreting EKGs and identifying rhythm changes; communicating with all team members including Cardiologists, Nuclear Med, ECHO, and Vascular.
