Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: - One year recent full time inpatient Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience - Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California - Active American Heart Association CPR Certification - Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery - Proficiency in circulating duties - The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations - Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure. - Basic computer keyboard skills and general PC knowledge. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong scrub experience - General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro experience - Specialty Certification – CNOR - BSN Licensure/Certifications: - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider CPR certification
