In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for ICU and PACU patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions. 

This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the RN/staff. Hospital locations include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
  • UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
  • UCLA West Valley Medical Center

Salary range: $116.66-$116.66 Hourly

Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

  • Current California RN license, required
  • BSN or MSN degree, required
  • 1 year of PACU RN experience and 3 years of ICU RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health ICU RN experience, required
  • Travel or extensive critical care/PACU RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association, required
  • PALS from the American Heart Association, required
  • National Certification, preferred
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
