Job Description:
Position Summary
Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, and/or charge nurse, the Endoscopy Technician is responsible for competently assisting in endoscopy procedures, reprocessing GI scopes, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory under the direct supervision of an RN. Must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 30 minutes.
Experience
Basic computer skills. Prior experience with instrument reprocessing strongly desired. Experience in endoscopy preferred.
Education
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field.
Licensure/Certifications
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
GI Assistant Certification preferred upon hire and completion required within 2 years of start date.
