Take on a rewarding role in a Magnet® designated and world-class health organization! The clinical nurse is a professional caregiver who provides direct patient care and assumes responsibility and accountability for surgical patients in the Operating Room, via the nursing process.
Under direct supervision of the Unit Director and Assistant Unit Director, the incumbent will function in the circulating and scrub role. The clinical nurse is an integral part of the surgical team, working collaboratively to ensure patient safety, implement nursing interventions, and participate in process and quality improvement initiatives.
We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
· Current valid California RN license, required
· BSN or MSN, required
· 2 years of operating room experience as an RN, required
· BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
· Experience in orthopedic surgery, specifically total joint arthroplasty, preferred.
· Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
· Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
· Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
· Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
