Westhaven, a Cassia community, is hiring Caregivers to join our Assisted Living team. As a Caregiver at Westhaven Assisted Living, you will assist residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and comfort. You’ll provide hands-on support, respond to resident needs, and collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a genuine heart for serving seniors.
Position Type: Part-Time, every other weekend
Shift Available: Days: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Wage Range: $16 - $18 /hour depending on experience
Location: 112 W 4th St, Boone, IA 50036
Caregiver Responsibilities:
Provide residents with desired services in a caring, safe and timely manner.
Provide redirection, reassurance, emotional and psychological support to residents and family members.
Assist residents with personal care with dignity and grace.
Document services performed on computerized charting system.
Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
Caregiver Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Prior experience preferred, but will train.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Clear documentation skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information
