Job Summary

The Nursing Quality Specialist II (NQS II) is responsible for providing support to the nursing division for performance improvement activities to enhance quality and safety outcomes, as well as, regulatory oversight, compliance monitoring with standards of care, and facilitating positive inter-professional collaboration with various disciplines. The NQS II is also responsible for defining, prioritizing, and achieving goals and objectives with a focus on evaluation and improving outcomes.


Required Qualifications

- Require a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Require Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
- Prefer demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Prefer current knowledge of hospital related accreditation (TJC) and regulatory issues (CMS, AHCA).
- Prefer demonstrated effective training and facilitation skills.
- Prefer experience with analytical problems solving tools, process management concepts and application.
