Under minimal supervision, function primarily as a scrub and/or circulating nurse within the Main Operating Room and Procedural rooms. In depth knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures. Administrative and teaching responsibilities to be performed as necessary, including inventory, instrument set ups and chart reviews. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills. Implement appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis, relevant to an operating room arena. Inherent duties includes, but not limited to, proper care of instrumentation and equipment, utilization of all safety measures and accurate completion of documentation. Commitment to patient safety and infection control protocol.
