Clinical Nurse Educator- Adolescent Psychiatric Department

This position is responsible for identifying staff learning needs and designing programs to address those needs, with a primary focus on clinical staff.

Requirements:

• • • Must possess strong analytical, communication and computer skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking department required.
    • Ability to effectively operate a variety of Microsoft Office and Outlook software programs required.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities required.
    • Ability to communicate complex issues in understandable language to diverse populations required.
    • Ability to effectively develop and implement adult education programs required.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles of evidence-based practice required.

Minimum Education:

• • • BSN required.
    • Master’s degree in education or health related field preferred. Matriculation is required within 2 years of hire

Minimum Work Experience:

• • • Two years of clinical education experience required
    • At least three years of acute care nursing including Emergency Department
    • 3-5 years of experience with pediatric and psychiatric patients required

Required Licenses/ Certifications:

• • • Vermont RN license required by date of employment.
    • BLS, ALS, PALS required within 90 days of hire.
    • Specialty certification in Emergency, Pediatric, or Psychiatric Nursing Preferred
