The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics,
The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available,
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments,
Is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served,
Responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers,
Responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement,
The Registered Nurse as an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient s needs,
Will collect, verify, and enter clinical, administrative and demographic data using automated and manual systems, maintain system integrity and generate internal and external reports, as appropriate,
Job Qualifications, Education, Training, Certification, Licensure
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed to practice professional in the State of New Jersey or a graduate of an accredited school with eligibility for licensure,
BLS Certification Required
Experience:
Previous Acute Care experience preferred
Work Environment and Hazards
Exposure to blood, excrement and odors,
Exposure to infections and communicable diseases,
Potential exposure to hazardous materials and communicable disease,
Special Physical Demands
A physical condition is required that permits reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking and standing for most of the shift,
Must be able to function under rapidly changing and stressful conditions,
