Hours: 4 days/week, Monday through Friday with rotating day off, 7:00AM - 3:30PM with call responsibilities during the week and weekends.
Job Summary:
The OR Clinical Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who functions in a circulating and scrubbing capacity. Services lines include: General surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, endoscopy procedures. Our nurses provide specialized care for all these services.
The OR Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process in planning and delivering nursing care; provides for the educational needs of patients and families; provides skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients during the intra-operative experience; demonstrates skill in written and verbal communication; maintains and updates skills and knowledge base in keeping with expected performance levels; projects a professional and positive attitude towards patients, staff, visitors and hospital; participates as a team member to meet departmental needs and participates in the on call schedule as needed.
The Surgical Services department has 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room. We provide mostly outpatient procedures with limited inpatient. We provide care to patients ages 16 and older. We also offer financial benefits for certification.
