Job Description
-Responsible for the delivery of resident care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and in line with the organizations mission and vision. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient resident care delivery and the achievement of desired resident outcomes. The RN Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the nursing department to ensure that facility policies and procedures are followed. Supervises the staff to ensure quality care and satisfaction of the residents. Such supervision must be in compliance with current local, state, and federal standards that govern the facility. Ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Must be flexible with duty hours. Reviews work performance of nursing personnel to determine conformance to recognized standards. Works together with staff to maintain compliance with the hydration program, weights/re-weights, bowel and bladder program, behavioral management, fall prevention/safety and restraints and other aspects of to maintain or enhance the quality of life.
-Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the area.
-Responsible for compliance with standards during assigned shift
-Uses established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of resident care during their assigned shift
-Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of resident care and appropriate use of available resources.
