The Wound Care Nurse, in collaboration with the physician and physical therapy, coordinates quality, cost effective care for the patients and their families who choose Casa Colina for their medical and rehabilitation needs. The components of the Wound Care Nurse duties will include: direct patient care, education, consultation, counseling and case management. The Wound Care Nurse develops a plan of care with the physician, patient, and the patient’s family from admission to discharge or continuum of care. The Wound Care Nurse coordinates, monitors and in collaboration with physician redirects wound care as necessary to maximize the patient’s outcomes within the appropriate length of stay, through efficient use of resources and within established standards.
Requirements: Registered professional nurse holding a current and valid license to practice nursing in the State of California. Bachelor of Science degree with major emphasis in Nursing preferred. AHA CPR/AED is required. Minimum Two years clinical experience in specialty area or wound care certification (CWS, CWON, CWCA, or WCC).

Casa Colina's physician leaders and rehabilitation teams provide innovative medical and rehabilitation services to more than 10,000 people a year. This continuum of care is provided within the Medical/Surgical Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital and Outpatient Center; nearly 20 specialty physician programs; an associated imaging center and ambulatory surgery center; a thriving long-term residential program with six locations; an adult day health care center; a transitional living center; children's services at our campus and at school sites; plus many community programs.
