Job Summary:
RN 2: RN 2’s independently plan and implement routine nursing care in using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship. RN 2’s begin to assume leadership responsibility and needs minimal supervision. An RN 2 has the ability to use accurate, clear, and concise oral and written communication. RN 2’s will work as a team and maintain effective working relationships, use critical thinking skills, analyze, and communicate findings effectively. Incumbents require a basic computer literacy and the ability to effectively learn new software programs is required, as well as the ability to efficiently operate a variety of automated office equipment such as print/copy/scan/fax machines/calculators/etc.
A RN 2 in Home Health independently plans and implements routine nursing care in predictable situations using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship. The RN 2 in Home Health begins to assume leadership responsibility and works under general supervision.
RN 3: A Registered Nurse (RN) 3 is an advanced level who is assigned at least one float area and renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet the patients physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. RN 3 provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
A RN 3 in Home Health is an advanced level nurse who renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. The RN 3 in Home Health provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
The RN functions under the oversight and direction of the Nursing Supervisor. Independently plans and implements routine nursing care in assigned department. Needs minimal supervision. Rapid Response Team and Code Team responder. Float pool Staff may cover ED, CCU, Med/Surg, MHU, OB and RRC.
A Home Health RN administers skilled nursing care to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plans of care under the direction and supervision of the Home Health Clinical Manager

Originally known as St. Ann’s Hospital, the hospital opened in 1886 and was operated by the Sisters of St. Ann until the 1960s. In 1965, the hospital’s operations were turned over to the City and Borough of Juneau, and a new facility was built at the hospital’s present location on Hospital Drive.
Bartlett Regional Hospital is licensed for a total of 57 inpatient beds and 16 residential substance-abuse treatment facility beds in the Rainforest Recovery Center. The hospital serves a 15,000-square-mile region in the northern part of Southeast Alaska. Approximately 55,000 people reside in our service area, with most communities inaccessible by road.
