PRN Registered Nurse-Tier 2- Plastics/Reconstructive Surgery/ 6 tower

6 Tower is our Medical Telemetry Trauma/Surgical/Reconstructive unit and has 28 beds (tele monitoring ), 1:4/5 nurse to patient ratio (depending on acuity) with an average stay of 4-5 days. This unit's patient population includes: Trauma, Step Down Critical Care Patients, Weight Loss Surgery patients, Reconstructive Surgery (Breast, Trauma, Wound, Cancer, etc.). The RNs on this unit will work with wound care, drains, trach care, ostomy care, central lines, etc. The team personality is motivated, flexible, inclusive, collaborative with a great learning environment with awesome preceptors and team longevity. The leaders are very supportive of team members transitioning to critical care and provide top notch training for top notch success/patient care. Our diverse patient population and case types enables this unit to grow SRHS Strong RNs!

Position Summary

The Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The RN demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. The RN demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for support associates. The RN will collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s culture, Mission, Vision, and Values. Associates are encouraged to engage and support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s involvement in the communities we serve.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an approved / accredited School of Nursing

Experience

• Novice to expert nurse

License/Registration/Certifications

• Current RN licensure in the State of South Carolina or Compact State
• BLS – may secure certification post-hire.

• Ability to properly assess and prioritize multiple patients according to the severity of illness, injury, and/or needs.
