The Associate Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks that could impact patient safety, staff well-being, regulatory compliance, and organizational operations. The position interfaces with the regulatory, safety and quality staff in identifying safety and quality opportunities and promoting a safety and quality culture. They will demonstrate sound judgment and utilize clinical practice and risk management knowledge to support a culture of safety and minimize legal and financial exposure.
Responsibilities
Identify potential risks related to patient care, clinical processes, operations, and environment.
Review and investigate adverse events, sentinel events, and near-miss occurrence, ensuring appropriate action plans as needed.
Monitor trends in incidents, claims, and near misses.
Recommend corrective actions by performing root cause analyses (RCA) and proactive risk assessments.
