Most recently, the applicant practiced independently as a virtual Psychiatric Mental Health APRN for the Veteran’s Health Administration concurrently in UT (rural, remote, under-resourced, limited access, agricultural, isolated, elderly), NV (rural, remote, complex medical, isolated, elderly, under-resourced, limited access), and CO (newly returned from deployment, retired, SUD, TBI, TMS, military-to-civilian adjustment, higher-than-national-average-for-completed-suicide, desperately under-resourced/limited access) with adult/veteran populations, a position which she held for more than five years, and from which she intends to retire in less than a year.
The applicant’s nearly 30-year nursing service demonstrates a career-long dedication to underserved populations, including roles in direct clinical care as well as in both educational and supervisory roles; in both inpatient (Acute/SUD/CSU) and outpatient (crisis, routine and residential) settings; in virtual and onsite employment, across all age groups, nationwide, including with native populations in South Dakota and Alaska.
This advanced practice MH provider brings a strong nursing foundation serving as an RN across a wide variety of general medical and medical specialty areas, again, in acute, outpatient and residential/educational and occupational settings to support her current virtual PMH advanced practice in low resourced areas.
The provider strongly prefers virtual opportunities at this point in her long, productive RN/APRN career.
