Description Summary: Our ICU is a 17-bed unit specializing in the care of acutely ill adult and geriatric patients. It is a fast-paced environment. We take care of a wide range of patient populations and disease processes. Medical diagnosis includes sepsis, DKA, renal failure, Covid, cardiovascular disease, neurologic disorders and other critical conditions. In addition, we care for multiple surgical procedures including neuro, cardiovascular and general surgeries that require intense observation and treatment. Our nurses must possess the ability to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team including Hospitalists, specialists, case managers and palliative care to direct the care of each individual patient.
