Description The Interventional Endoscopy Services (IES) Nurse Practitioner functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). Utilizing approved Standardized Procedures, the Nurse Practitioner independently performs comprehensive clinical assessments, develops and implements treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic studies, manages therapeutic interventions, and modifies treatment regimens based on patient presentation, response to therapy, and clinical findings in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act.
In collaboration with supervising physicians, attending physicians, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams, the Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive outpatient clinical management for patients requiring advanced gastrointestinal and interventional endoscopic care.
