They provide care to adults of all ages within the surrounding community. This unit cares for a range of medical and surgical patients with critical care needs. The majority of patients are intermediate status, with complications such as Heart Failure, substance withdrawal, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, and respiratory disorders. About one-quarter of the unit volume are ICU level patients requiring vasoactive drips and mechanical ventilation.
