Job Description Description CST II Location: Vascular-Interventional Radiology-Memorial Hospital Scheduled Work Hours: Full Time (40 hours/week, weekdays only) The Clinical Support Technician II is responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient, supplies, specimens and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining Procedural Rooms and performing a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance of the procedural unit. The role performs patient care requiring clinical and procedural knowledge and skills requiring the use of sterile techniques, infusion monitoring, and radiological medical equipment. The CST II also coordinates/participates in the flow of communications on the procedure unit. Burn patients on this unit typically have <20% burn injury and are acute care in status. Other patients cared for on this unit include, but are not limited to: plastic surgery patients, diabetic wounds, pressure ulcers and overflow from other acute care surgery and medicine areas. This is a 36 hours per week position; working 12 hour rotating shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotation.
