Job Description Summary The Women Service’s Nurse Educator will serve as the clinical and administrative liaison, while also serving as part of leadership of the LD, Postpartum, and Nursery Units. The goal is to maximize the efficient and cost-effective use of health resources while centering services on the patient. They will identify best practice models as well as develop, implement, and oversee Quality and Core Measure Initiatives. They will be responsible for creating and coordinating the orientation process for all new nurses and assessing their competencies. Develops and maintains an effective staff education program, coordinating individualized orientation and continuing education for all staff. Will also develop and maintain a community and patient prenatal education program and materials based on population served.
