By joining our team you will have the ability to grow and expand upon the skills that you have learned during nursing school. Critical access hospitals require emergency room nurses to work at the top of their licensure and skills. The nurse residency program is designed to support newly graduated RNs in their transition to hospital nursing practice. An intensive three week orientation with nurse educators will include topics such as: triage, interprofessional collaboration, trauma informed care, opioid and alcohol withdrawal assessment and treatment, ECG interpretation, and wound care.
