31760600 Description The Medical Surgical Telemetry Pediatrics department at Christus Spohn Alice has a daily average census of approximately 25 patients. We often see patients with CHF, Pneumonia, Skin Abscess, Chest Pain, COPD, Diabetes, Appendicitis, Cholecystectomy, EGD's, Colonoscopy, Pediatrics with Asthma, Bronchitis, Viral Syndrome, and Pneumonia. Our associates feel very proud to work in this department. Med Surg Tele Peds is a unit in which you can develop all of your nursing skills and train to float to other units if desired. MSP requires hard work and critical thinking skills due to range in age of patients and disease processes involved. We are a group of highly skilled nurses that are willing to teach and grow our own nurses to the fullest potential.   Summary: The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
