Job Description Summary The Burn Care Specialist Nurse (Pediatric) reports to the Pediatric Critical Care Manager under the general supervision of the Burn Program Manager, and is responsible for assisting in burn wound care for all burn patients as an adjunct to the bedside burn nurse and the patient care tech. They will work as a team on a daily basis to create a daily wound care schedule. They will assist the nurse primarily in the Pediatric ICU but will also provide coverage for adult patients in the Surgical Trauma Burn Intensive Care Unit (STBICIU) and 6W. They will provide wound care to all patients who are on other units due to their medical condition or the unavailability of a bed in either the STBICU, 6W or the PICU.
