Department Operating Room Job Summary Leads and facilitates the daily operations of the Operating Room. Supports and facilitates implementation of evidence-based practice and serves as a resource within Sarasota Memorial Health Care System for information, education and training for the Service Lines within their specialty area. Comprising the intraoperative phases of patient care responsibilities include supervising colleagues, staffing rooms appropriately, coordinating adjustments to the schedule with anesthesia, and proactively working with surgeons to expedite the surgery schedule safely and efficiently. Participates in room set-up, coordination of equipment and supplies, and room turnover.
