Job Description Description 6 Memorial is a 28-bed, acute care, inpatient nursing unit at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill . Our interdisciplinary team provides evidence-based and high-quality care primarily to adult post-surgical patients with weight loss issue, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, and complex non-cancer GI-related illnesses. Our surgical oncology physician leaders are under the Surgical Oncology Division. This division is affiliated with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. These physician leaders are nationally renowned for their expertise in improving colorectal, GI, and endocrine malignancy through clinical excellence, medical education, and research. Job Description Summary 7 West MedSurg & Surgical Oncology is a high acuity 24 bed adult inpatient unit specializing in gynecology oncology, head/neck oncology and head/neck benign patients. 7 West also provides care for a variety of other medical/surgical patient populations including but not limited to management of behavioral, respiratory, endocrine, GI, and trauma patients. The unit manages patients receiving inpatient chemotherapy, radiation, leech therapy, total parenteral nutrition and enteral nutrition.
