Job: RNRAD003654 Description Job Summary Serves as a nurse in the Radiation Therapy Department. Will act as a resource person to both in and out patients providing quality nursing care and involvement in all phases of treatment, convalescence, rehabilitation, and follow-up of patient. Job Responsibilities Perform intake/consultation of new patients, conduct initial comprehensive nurse assessment, lab draws, selected diagnosis code, as well as develop, implement and provide patient education for the process of radiation treatment and interventional/diagnostic procedures, specific to each patient's diagnosis. Perform follow up/weekly on-treatment visits for patients under external beam radiation and monitor/notify the physician of adverse effects, redevelopment of processes and onset of worsening symptoms.
