Job Description Summary 7 West MedSurg & Surgical Oncology is a high acuity 24 bed adult inpatient unit specializing in gynecology oncology, head/neck oncology and head/neck benign patients. 7 West also provides care for a variety of other medical/surgical patient populations including but not limited to management of behavioral, respiratory, endocrine, GI, and trauma patients. The unit manages patients receiving inpatient chemotherapy, radiation, leech therapy, total parenteral nutrition and enteral nutrition. This unit cares for complex microvascular head and neck flap patients which includes complex wound management, tracheostomy and laryngectomy patient care. The unit also manages palliative and hospice patient populations at varying stages of their disease progression to include aggressive pain management.
