Description Job Requirements The Oncology department is seeking an experienced RN this Charge Nurse role! Weekend day shift : Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am - 7pm. Unit Summary Welcome to SMC's Inpatient Oncology unit! Our 30-bed unit, located on the first floor of Gibbs Cancer Center, is dedicated to providing exceptional care. Each room is private and includes accommodations for family members, ensuring a supportive environment. We offer specialized rooms with negative/positive pressure airflow and facilities for patients receiving radiation implants. A family room is available for confidential consultations with healthcare teams, and a kitchen is provided for families. Our primary focus is on patients with end-stage illnesses, end-of-life needs, cancer, and hematologic diagnoses. We also provide care to patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation implants.
