Job Description Summary This one-year fellowship focuses on clinical experiences as well as a robust didactic curriculum, to provide well-rounded education intended to fully prepare a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time position in Hematology Oncology. Ideal candidates would be a new Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant wishing to change specialties. The APP Fellow will be exposed to a wide array of disease processes in multiple different settings with monthly rotations in Malignant Hematology, Oncology, Bone and Marrow Transplant, Classical Hematology, Infusion, as well as elective rotation opportunities. Job Description Summary The successful applicant will be an Advanced Practice provider interested in working full time as an APP Infusion Services Program Director, supervising the care of patients seen in the Hollings Cancer Center, North Charleston, Health East Cooper, Health West infusion suites, rapid access clinic, and future sites to be developed. This position reports directly to the Medical Director for Infusion Services in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology and collaborates with the Infusion Center nursing managers and has a matrix reporting relationship with the APP Best Practice Center leader. The Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Clinic provides post surgical rehabilitation, including dental implants and prosthetic eyes, ears, and noses, for head and neck cancer patients.
