In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for rendering professional nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or healthcare providers as described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and Ohio administrative codes. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
Participates in bedside shift report/handoff.
Performs hourly rounding.
Obtains required patient subjective and objective information per nursing policy, under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Contributes to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing, as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Coordinates timely, adequate teaching to patient/family/significant other in preparation for discharge and documents appropriately, under the direction of the Registered Nurse....
