Provides professional and skilled nursing care to patients using the “patient centered care” model of SMHCS (policy 126.054) in accordance with the ANA and AACN’s Standards of Professional Practice. We are a 62 bed unit with 3 areas of specialties that you can work in. Trauma ICU: Patient Population : patients with a primary traumatic diagnosis requiring complex nursing assessment skills and care including but not limited to: Any trauma related fractures or orthopedic abnormalities requiring surgical intervention or traction application, splinting, splinting, casts, or other skeletal immobilization. Required Qualifications Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045). - Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.
