Job Description Summary The Endoscopy Procedure Registered Nurse II on the Endoscopy Unit reports to the Nurse Manager. The Procedure RN assist with general endoscopy procedures, such as colonoscopy and EGD. Responsibilities include being on call rotation for emergent and urgent therapeutic endoscopy procedures, which includes holidays, night and some weekends. Responsibilities also include performing instrument inspection, decontamination and disinfection of endoscopes and instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures, state, local and federal requirements. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
