Department Endoscopy Job Summary Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Shift: Four 10's / Stay Late once a week / On Call required Endo Procedure Nurses start at 7:00am and work 10 hour days. They have a late stay once a week and one call weekend approx every 9 weeks depending on staffing. Sat is a 10 hr work day but they are on call for the rest of the day. (Cases are done in OR and Sunday is an ALL day call. Cases begin in department and when finished they go home but can be called back to do cases again in OR.) *Must be willing to sign 2 year contract to be trained as a procedural nurse totaling up to $2,000 dollars worth of training* Must be BLS certified prior to start date.
