Our p rogram is a very busy unit where patients are efficiently prepared for their procedures. On a typical day we care for 50-60 patients. Clinical duties will include pre-procedure assessment with placement of IV, assisting in the procedure rooms for colonoscopies and EGD's, and post procedure care until discharge. ACLS needed but can obtain during orientation. IV skills are a plus but will train. This position is Monday-Friday, 10 hour days. Department Endoscopy Job Summary Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Shift: Four 10's / Stay Late once a week / On Call required Endo Procedure Nurses start at 7:00am and work 10 hour days. They have a late stay once a week and one call weekend approx every 9 weeks depending on staffing. Sat is a 10 hr work day but they are on call for the rest of the day.
