Responsible for the delivery of patient care for assigned patients on a specific shift worked. Coordination of all aspects of the medical plan and nursing standards of care using the nursing process for Pre-op, Post-op, PACU, and OR or Procedural Area. Also directs and guides the activities of other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the operating room including the principles of growth and development over the life span.
