Description The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process and other input from healthcare team members. The staff RN must be able to travel to another UCLA facility to assist with coverage when needed. Performs clinical nursing duties that includes but not limited to assisting physicians in performing procedures in endoscopy area, GI lab, administering medications and, monitoring vital signs and medications, and provide health education, procedure instruction/information to patients and families. Responsible for the all-around healthcare needs of patients who are under the care management of the faculty members on an as needed basis.
