Job Description Summary Endoscopy is a procedural department that serves both inpatient and outpatient procedures. We offer a wide variety of GI procedures, both general and therapeutic procedures, as well as motility specialty procedures, supporting adult, and occasional pediatric, patients. Procedures provided by the unit include, but are not limited to: screening colonoscopy, EGD, dilation for strictures, feeding tube placement, ERCP, ESWL, POEM, and EUS. Endoscopy also includes two prep and recovery units, composed of 23 P/R bays. The general and therapeutic RN’s take call, supporting urgent and emergent endoscopy procedures, and have a team of GI Techs that reprocess the endoscopes with a process called High Level Disinfection. We mostly operate Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with the call team supporting the urgent cases outside of normal business hours.
