Description Job Requirements Position Summary The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates with the Nurse Manager to provide leadership for day-to-day unit operations such as staffing, scheduling, budget planning, and cost containment activities. Acts as a liaison in interdepartmental and intradepartmental activities. This nurse demonstrates expertise and leadership in the role components of Manager, Teacher, Practitioner, and Researcher, with emphasis on mastery of management skills. Assistant Nurse Manager assists Nursing Leadership in developing, implementing, and monitoring the unit's Mission, Vision and Goals that are aligned with the hospital's strategic plan and annual operating objectives. The Assistant Nurse Manager in accordance with the Nurse Manager directs the administration of a defined clinical area with 24-hour responsibility and accountability.
