This location is current served by 2 Cardiologists, and 3 APPs, all with high volume clinics. They provide general cardiology services such as HTN, HLD, CAD and refer patients to other cardiology sub-specialties as needed. The clinic has stress testing, and echocardiogram on site as well as a medical lab. The APP will deliver evidence-based cardiovascular care tailored to the patient’s needs, serve as a patient advocate, and function as a key member of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient outcomes, education, and compassionate care. A registered professional nurse responsible for the delivery of patient care to inpatients and outpatients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Population of these patients varies from adult to geriatric patients. Employee must be available for all schedules cases and be able to reach the hospital within 30-minutes when on call. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area. Position also responsible for assisting participants with equipment orientations. Monitor Telemetry, provide participants guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment, performing preventive wellness assessments, baseline assessments, organize and implement programs pertaining to cardiopulmonary rehab and attend health fairs/outside events representing Augusta Health Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Exercise physiologist will also provide education to inpatients discussing cardiovascular risk factors, cardiovascular diagnosis, and benefits to attending the Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program.
