The Registered Nurse, Behavioral Health Emergency Services is responsible for the delivery of patient care for assigned patients on a specific shift worked. This role coordinates the nursing plan of care as well as carrying out physician orders and nursing standards of care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care outcomes. Under the supervision and/or direction of a Registered Nurse, the Mental Health Worker provides direct patient care services to patients with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. This role must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Requirements High School Diploma required, Associates Degree in mental health preferred.
