**This is a Full-time 36 hours a week position Day position.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served. Provide care coordination, oversight, and delivery across the Hem-Onc Infusion Suite. The L2WB Infusion Nurse ensures safe, timely, and efficient chemotherapy administration by performing chemotherapy checks, managing scheduling and throughput, supporting staffing needs, and serving as a clinical resource for providers, schedulers, and nursing staff. This role bridges clinical care and patient experience in this unique ambulatory and inpatient hybrid patient care setting.

HemeOnc Cellular Therapy Unit is part of the Dartmouth Cancer Center at D-H, one of only 57 designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the USA. Level 2 Wing B Infusion (L2WB INF) is a 6-chair and one private patient room mini-infusion suite associated with the 32 bed HemeOnc Cellular Therapy Unit. A unique hybrid patient care area, this space assists with the throughput of HemeOnc patients. Through this infusion suite patients receive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and CAR T-Cell Therapy. Similar to an infusion center, these patients may also receive supportive care during their appointment in this space. These highly specialized staff will also have the opportunity to resource on the inpatient unit, assist with off unit chemotherapy, and function as an ambulatory infusion nurse.


Responsibilities
  1. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
  2. Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.
  3. Practices in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent and assist patients in families in expressing self-determination.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 1 year of experience.
  • Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with 2 years' experience.
  • Active Chemotherapy Certification (ONS)
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology or infusion nursing experience

Required Licensure/Certifications

- Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire and as applicable, higher level per unit certification requirements as stated on the grid attached to the AHA and Life Support Policy
