Offers kit collection options to the patient and performs a complete medical/forensic examination. Documents support why a step/action was not completed. Performs and documents the medical/forensic examination on the paper chart.  Documents detailed injuries after written consent from patients/legal guardian.  Ensures the Emergency Care provider completes a medical screening exam.  Administers prophylactic medications.  Maintains chain of custody for each sexual assault exam.  Coordinates care of agencies involved in assisting the sexual assault patient and coordinates referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up.  Provides testimony as a fact witness when subpoenaed and coordinates with attorneys during the judicial process. Maintains open communication with Risk Management during judicial process proceedings.  

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current New Hampshire RN license required. BLS - within 3 months of hire and maintained on a biannual basis. Completion of an approved "Sexual Assault Examiner Training" course is required.

  • Work Status: 1 shift per week (Mon-Fri, 5 p-8a), 1 weekend per month (Sat & Sun, 8a-8a), and 1 holiday per year.;
